What a wonderful, busy week it was! Two months ago, the NATE staff moved into our brand-new office building; and this week we had our official Ribbon Cutting and Open House celebration. When I was hired almost four years ago, there was already talk of building a new office, so it’s pretty awesome that it has finally come to fruition.
We had the entire NATE staff – including our five employees that work remote away from Watertown – and our Executive Board members present for the event. Our Executive Board comes from as close as Sioux Falls, and as far away as New Hampshire – it was great they could all be here to help celebrate this milestone!

We had a great turnout for the Ribbon Cutting and couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day. Click HERE for a quick video clip highlight. We had a lot of local Watertown people stop by, as well as many of our members from the Great Plains region. It was great to catch up with people I haven’t seen in a while and give them a tour of our new space.

On top of all the excitement of having the Executive Board visiting and the Open House, we also had our second in-person leadership training this week. We have been so lucky that the board invested in us and set us up with a two-year leadership program through Sagency in Sioux Falls. We meet for a full day once a quarter, and then have a few hour-long virtual meetings in between. They’ve really been great so far. I’ve not only learned so much about myself, but I’ve also learned more about how my colleagues operate and what makes them tick. I truly think it’s helped us work better as a team.

And as an added bonus, there were a ton of laughs! My cheeks still hurt from all the smiling I did this week. I really enjoy my job, and I work with some pretty awesome people too. This week was a great reminder of how lucky I am to work for NATE, and have a job I look forward to going to every day.
I need the weekend to sleep and recover from this week, but I’ll be ready to hit the ground running again on Monday. Bring it on!
Until next time! 🙂
