For the first time in almost three months, neither Dan nor I have to go to the farm AND we have zero plans.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the farm, and I love how much Dan loves the farm. But this time of year starts getting crazy with planting, picking rock, miscellaneous projects of upkeep and maintenance, and eventually preparing for harvest – I don’t get a lot of weekends at home with Dan! So, when he told me on Thursday that he was likely staying home this weekend, I was over the moon!!
And it’s a cherry on top that we don’t have to be anywhere or have anything planned. We can do whatever we want. AND it’s supposed to be really nice this weekend, not too hot to be outside. I’m hoping to spend some time reading outside with my boys, and I think Dan and I plan on going to see a movie this weekend as well. It’s going to be wonderful!
It’s amazing how something so small and simple can completely turn my mood around and make my entire week. But that’s what life is all about, isn’t it?? The little things are what makes life so great.

I’m keeping it short and sweet this week so I can enjoy my weekend! I hope everyone else’s weekend is just as wonderful. 🙂
