Ready for Fall!

School is back in session and believe it or not, but next week is September already. And you know what that means: it’s almost the best time of the year!

I’ve often told myself that September 1 – December 31 is my favorite time of the year. Not only is September my birthday month, but Fall starts in September and Fall is my favorite season. I love watching the leaves change colors, the temps start to cool down, and just the overall cozy vibe that comes with the season.

I’m a little disappointed that we’ve only had one bonfire all Summer. Hoping we can squeeze a few more in before we have to pack it up for Winter.

By October, harvest is usually in full swing, and it can get a little crazy around here. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t kind of looking forward to sitting in a tractor for a few days though. It’s actually not all bad to be alone with my thoughts for a while, or have a little jam out session as I chop corn stalks. And the faster we get all the crops out and the equipment cleaned up and put away, the faster it’s done, because I especially love this period between when harvest ends and when planting starts. Dan gets to be home a lot more often. 🙂

I solve a lot of world problems going up and down those rows all day – if only people would listen to me. 😉

November means Thanksgiving – lots of family time, good food, and a bit of time off work to relax. November also brings hunting season, and I drew an antler less deer tag this year, so you better believe Dan and I will be out sitting in a field somewhere!

And of course, I look forward to December every year. Christmas is my favorite holiday, and I love how magical this time of year feels. More family time, more good food, and more time off work. Honestly, who could ask for more?

I’d be willing to bet my next paycheck my Christmas decorations will be up before Halloween lol

I love Summer, but not nearly as much as I love Fall. I’m ready for this next season, and looking forward to the adventures it will bring.

Keeping it short and sweet this week. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Until next time! 🙂
