Last week, my parents had the grandkids for four days. For almost a week leading up to it, my oldest nephew, Connor, was asking if he could have a sleepover at our house. This isn’t the first time he’s asked to stay over, so we finally said he could plan on staying over one night during his stay. Dan had to go to the farm last week, so it was just me, Connor, and Dobby. I was a little nervous beforehand since he’s never stayed at our house before – would he be bored? Naughty? Both!?
I was especially getting nervous when my dad texted me Friday afternoon saying he’d give me $500 if I took BOTH Tessa and Connor for the night lol! But I think the two of them just needed a little separation because Connor was so good for me, and we had a lot of fun.
Connor LOVES helping with everything, and I joked that I was going to have him help me clean the house while he was here – he honestly probably would have! But I didn’t make him do that. 🙂 I did have him help me feed my sourdough on Friday night and we made some bread dough in the morning.

We built a fort and we watched a movie with some popcorn, and it was a fun night to hang out with my little buddy.

In the morning, we played fetch with Dobby for a little bit, walked to the park and then Grandma and Grandpa picked us up and we spent the day at the zoo. It was what I’m sure the first of many great sleepovers we’ll have, and maybe Uncle Dan will get to join in the fun next time!
AND not only was I lucky enough to spend last weekend with my nephews and niece, but I get to go hang out with them again this weekend as well. We are having a combined birthday party for the three of them since Connor turned 5 a couple of weeks ago, Caleb turned 1 this last week, and Tessa turns 3 at the end of August. Time is going way too fast!! My little munchkins are getting too big.

I love these three kiddos like they are my own and I’m so excited to keep watching them grow and turn into little adults. They make me excited to have our own kids someday, and I look forward to making many new memories together.
Until next time! 🙂
