Office Fans – Listen Up!

How many The Office fans we got reading this!? I KNOW I’m not the only one! It’s hands down my favorite show. I’ve lost track how many times I’ve watched the entire series all the way through, and I’ve always got it on in the background when I’m cooking or cleaning or folding laundry. Even ask Dan, he’ll probably tell you I have it memorized by now.

Anyway, if you’re a fan of the show, and if you haven’t discovered it already, the Office Ladies podcast is a MUST listen. I’ve been listening to it a lot this week while I’ve worked on mind numbing projects. I’m a little behind listening to it – I’m only on season 6, and they’re halfway through season 8 already – but it’s honestly super interesting. Dan makes fun of me a lot for listening to it – I can’t say I blame him haha – but it’s kind of cool to hear about all what goes into making an episode and how they come up with all the story lines.

Basically, Jenna Fischer, who plays Pam on the show; and Angela Kinsey, who plays Angela Martin, are the two narrating the podcast. Each podcast episode breaks down one episode of the show and they share who came up with the story line and what the inspiration behind it was; any behind the scenes details; and a lot of stuff that WAS going to happen but ultimately got cut from the show. There’s also some tangents the two office ladies go on every episode and some of them have literally made me laugh out loud.

I’m kind of a nerd so it’s really cool to listen to, and I’ve actually learned some things while listening to it too. And it’s kind of fun to go back and watch the episodes after I’ve listened to the podcast episode and look for the little details I probably wouldn’t have noticed if I hadn’t listened to the podcast.

For example, one thing that I found especially interesting was how the episode where Pam and Jim get married was going to originally play out. I won’t spoil it for you, but originally that episode was going to be pretty wild! I’m glad they went with what they did in the end, because it’s definitely one of my favorites.

Anyway, I don’t have a whole lot else to say about it, other than it’s really really good and I encourage you to check it out. And if you do, let me know so we can talk about it haha.

Happy listening!

Until next time! 🙂
