Below the Surface Cover Reveal!

Time for another book update! First of all, I can’t remember if I said this already, but I’m going to be an exhibitor at the South Dakota Festival of Books in Brookings September 23-24, so if you’re in the area, be sure to drop by! I got my exhibitor info in the mail earlier this week, I’ll be at booth 8 from 1-5pm on Friday, the 23rd, and 9am-5pm on Saturday the 24th. I’d love to see you!

I will of course have copies of Sink or Swim available for sale and I’m crossing all my fingers that Below the Surface will be ready in time too. I’ll get my manuscript back from my editor in about a week or so, and depending on how many edits I’ll need to make, I’m hoping to have it all polished up in time before the festival. Depending on how many edits I have, I may not be able to get physical copies here in time, but here’s to hoping!!

I plan on having some other goodies too, so even if you already have a copy of Sink or Swim, still stop by and grab a treat!

AND the other exciting news is that my book cover is officially ready!! I had the same guy- Michael-who designed the cover for Sink or Swim take a crack at this one and he went above and beyond what I hoped it would be. He came up with five or six mock ups for me, and I loved almost all of them – it was hard to choose! I even had to share the final two with some of my closest friends to get some way in, and it was pretty even. Eventually, I decided to go with the one I felt represented the story best.

HERE IT IS!! I am so beyond happy with how it turned out

The theme in this book has a touch more action than the first and it is just a tiny bit darker. I asked Michael to represent that in the cover and tried to explain how I was picturing it, and he came up with something even better than I imagined. I especially like holding it next to the Sink or Swim cover and see how they play off each other. I’m super pleased with how it turned out, and I hope yall like it too!

I’ve been working my tail off trying to get this ready for everyone who keeps asking when it’s going to be done, and I’m so close to getting it out there I can taste it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has encouraged me to keep going. It won’t be long now!

Until next time! 🙂
