What Are YOU Thankful For?

With Thanksgiving less than a week away I thought I’d take some time to think about what I am thankful for. After a year like 2020, it’s easy to get caught up in all the bad stuff and have a negative attitude, but there’s plenty still to celebrate!

First of all, I am thankful for my health. I’ve taken precautions and I have been able to avoid testing positive for Covid so far. I’m certain it’s only a matter of time before I do get it, but for now, I’m glad I’ve been able to make it this far without it. They say an active lifestyle and eating good is one of the best ways to stay healthy – even against Covid. If that’s the case, I should be good for a while! *fingers crossed*

Next, I’m thankful for my family. I’m so glad I live closer to home now and can see them a lot more often. I get to see my parents almost every day, saw my brother last weekend, and I’m hanging out with Molly and Tanner this weekend. They mean the world to me and I’m so glad I can spend more time with them.

They really are the best!

This year, someone new walked into my life, and now I can’t imagine what it would be like without him. Dan is easily the best thing to come out of 2020. He’s everything I want in a man and more. He’s sweet, smart, super dedicated, passionate about what he does, and pretty darn handsome to boot. He treats me good, and that’s incredibly important. I’ll forever cherish the memories we’ve made so far, and can’t wait to see what else is in store!

He’s the best!! 🥰

I’m super thankful for the other man in my life too: my fur baby, Dobby! I could go on and on about how much this pup means to me. He’s a pain in the butt sometimes, but it’s so hard to stay mad at him. I’ve found myself thinking lately how much I love having him around, and it’s really hard to put into words. He really is like my baby! I’d go to some pretty great lengths to make sure he’s got a good life. My mom is watching him for the weekend while I visit Molly, and I miss him! I just want all the puppy snuggles right now.

He’s always in a playful mood!

Finally, I’m very thankful to have a job, and a good one at that. I was pretty bummed when I lost my job at Persona earlier this year. But it was a blessing in disguise. Looking back, I didn’t particularly love it there, and the people weren’t incredibly friendly. Within the first week of being at LATC, I felt like I was part of a family. Everyone has been so nice and I really like what I’m doing. It’ll be a heck of a lot easier when Covid is gone and behind us, but I’m learning as I go for now.

We had matching costumes for Halloween and it was a ton of fun!

So, even though 2020 has been kind of crappy in a lot of ways, I can still find a lot of things to be thankful for. I encourage you to take some time to think about what you’re thankful for this week. That is the purpose of Thanksgiving after all!

Hope everyone has a great holiday week coming up. Stay healthy, make good choices, and take some time for yourself. Maybe next Thanksgiving will be back to normal!

Until next time! 🙂
