I haven’t talked about my books much lately. While I’ve still been working on my writing here and there, I’ll admit it’s been taking a seat on the back burner for a little while now. Although – I’m almost to the 100-page mark in book #3, so that’s pretty cool. 🙂
Anyway, I wanted to talk about it today because about a month ago I was invited to speak at an author event being held at the Huron Library on April 18:

I was really surprised – and honored! – that they reached out to me to be a part of this event. Especially since I haven’t been doing much writing or advertising of my writing lately. Each author invited has the opportunity to sell their books and give a 20-minute presentation on their writing journey. The theme is “Find Your Joy,” which is awesome. I can’t wait to talk about how writing has brought me so much joy over the years, and I’m excited to hear from the other authors as well.
I almost said no to being a part of the event. Mostly because I really haven’t been making my writing a priority lately and I almost felt like I wasn’t worthy of being a part of this. Even sitting down to write a blog every week has been hard at times, let alone working on my novels. But I’m glad I said yes! I’m excited for the opportunity, and maybe it’ll light a fire in me to make more time to write.
So, if you happen to be in the Huron area on April 18 and having nothing going on – I invite you to join me at the Author event! It should be a lot of fun. And I’ll have copies of both my books there, so if you still haven’t gotten your hands on a copy, this would be your chance. Hope to see you there!
Until next time! 🙂
