Happy Father\’s Day to all you wonderful dads out there! Obviously, mine is the best, but I\’m sure there are plenty of great ones out there, too! 😉 Now that I am back in SD, I get to see my dad almost every day, and he gives me a lot of crap about showing up at his house all the time, but I know he\’d rather have it this way than when I lived halfway across the country. I make up for stealing snacks from his house by bringing him coffee, so I think we are even! 😉
I got to thinking about all the adventures I\’ve been on with my dad, and I remember this time last year when he was still recovering from the major health scare he went through. It was definitely scary being so far away from him during a time like that, but it\’s been pretty smooth sailing for a few months now, and once this pandemic is over, I\’m ready to get back to adventuring with my daddio!
My dad shares a love of history with me, and especially when I lived out East, we would spend a lot of time checking out historical sites and learn about history together. Living less than an hour out of our Nation\’s capitol for six years, we took advantage of soaking up as much learning as we could. Not to mention all the other historical areas there are in VA.

Not only can I share my love of history with my dad, but we also share the love of exercise – something I also share with my entire family, but especially my dad. He\’s had his consecutive exercise days going for over a year now since his health issues last year, and that\’s pretty darn awesome. How many other people would go through something life changing like what my dad did, and STILL want to keep up that consecutive exercise streak? My dad has always said he\’ll be exercising until he physically can\’t anymore, and that\’s something I take very seriously as well. I am so thankful that my parents instilled this in me and my siblings, because exercising and eating right is so, so important.

Someday, I\’ll get my dad back in the pool so he can really experience how awesome swimming is, but for now, I suppose I\’m happy with all this running. 😉 Can\’t wait to share many more history nerd moments and many more races with you dad. I hope you have a fabulous Father\’s Day weekend and thank you for everything you do for me! I love youuuu!!! Mwaaaaah teehehe aaahh dawwww! (Inside joke haha!)

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend celebrating our dads!
Until next time! 🙂
