Happy Birthday, Dad!

Happy birthday to the world\’s best dad!!!!! In honor of his birthday, I\’ve decided to share my favorite memories with him. Unfortunately, for some reason I couldn\’t find very many pictures of me with my dad from long ago. Most of the memories I have were made in the last few years. Maybe you were right, dad, you DO start getting cooler the older I get! 😉

\"\"
Just a couple of cool cats getting ready for the Breast Cancer Race in Sioux Falls back in 2010. Was this our first selfie?? I\’m glad we\’ve gotten better since then!
\"\"
I could only find a picture of us with dad at ONE of our high school formals. What was up with that??? Either way, we all look pretty smokin here
\"\"
My dad thinks he\’s pretty hilarious, and SOMETIMES, I\’ll admit he can be! 😉 He gave Zeus this giant bone one day and told me to take a picture of him pretending Zeus ate his leg haha!
\"\"
Don\’t know if either of my parents were ever really thrilled about me moving to VA for school, but we sure did have a lot of fun exploring when they came to visit!
\"\"
I even surprised him with a tour of the white house on one of their visits. He\’d been wanting to do this for years, and I\’m glad we could make the memory together!
\"\"
We even took a trip to Jamestown on one of their trips and had some fun exploring that as well. There was always something to do!
\"\"
It was a long way to travel for my parents to come visit me while I was in school, but they tried to make it out there at least once or twice a year. I\’m glad one of those times was to celebrate my graduation with me!
\"\"
Both of my parents have always stressed the importance of exercise, but my dad has always tried to get me into running – ever since I can remember. It only took 20+ years, but he finally started to wear me down. A couple years ago, he ran with me for my first half marathon!
\"\"
My second half marathon, I ran FOR my dad since he still wasn\’t able to run that far after his heart issues.
\"\"
I\’ve been running a lot more frequently lately – especially since I\’ve moved back to South Dakota- and a lot of my runs are with my parents. It\’s nice to have someone who is always willing to go out and get a few miles in with you!
\"\"
We always find a way to have a bunch of laughs on our runs ha!
\"\"
He\’s a big old softy, and not only loves us kids, but his fur kids as well! This was the first day we brought Dakota home. She spent a lot of that first evening sleeping in my dad\’s arms.
\"\"
But, dad don\’t let anyone live in his house for free! He\’s showing Dakota how to wash dishes so she can hold her own around the house! 😉
\"\"
He\’s the world\’s best fur papi, too! Just ask Dobs! Sometimes I think he loves my dad more than me!
\"\"
This time last year, we celebrated my dad\’s birthday with a trip to the cities for a Vikings game. Wish we could have gone again this year!
\"\"
Glad I\’m able to spend a lot more time with you, daddy!

Hope you have an awesome birthday, daddy! You deserve it! Can\’t wait to make a lot more memories with you!

Until next time! 🙂
