Cheers to 26!

Molly and I turn 26 next week, so to celebrate, I\’ve decided to post 26 memories with my sissy! Life definitely would have been a lot less fun without you in it! 🙂

\"\"
Starting off by going all the way back to 2009. This was my first profile picture on Facebook, and as you can see, we\’ve both been pretty little angels for quite some time now 😉 I believe my dad was testing out his new camera and he told us to strike a pose. So of course, we both strike the exact same pose, cuz great minds think alike!
\"\"
Back in 2010, we went on a family vacation to the Black Hills and hiked Harney Peak. I guess maybe Molly was really scared or something?? haha I don\’t know, but I can see the love!
\"\"
Posing for pics during Homecoming week! Not sure what I said to make Molly laugh like this, but this picture makes me smile 🙂 It was always awesome to have my sister and best friend rolled up into one to make all these fun memories with!
\"\"
Back when my sister and I got confirmed. We clean up pretty nice if I do say so myself!
\"\"
Of course, we attended almost all of the school formals together! This was our Junior Tucks, with our dates, Jordan McPeek and Jacob Bierschbach.
\"\"
Junior prom was the only formal where we weren\’t in the same group. But we still hung out at the dance and the after party together all night!
\"\"
Senior Tucks was probably my favorite of all the formals we went to. We had a good group together and it was a blast partying the night away with my best friend.
\"\"
Sooo, long story short, my sister ended up being my date to my senior prom, but honestly I think that worked out for the better. We had a blast together, and we sure looked cute too! 😉
\"\"
Right before our senior year of high school, we took a family trip to Alaska. It has definitely been one of the prettiest places I\’ve ever visited, and I\’m glad I could share these memories with my family. I tried to find the picture of Molly and I sharing the double person bike, but couldn\’t find it. You\’ll just have to use your imagination!
\"\"
Senior pics were also a blast, because it was basically a photo shoot with my best friend. This is by far my favorite of the pics we took together. Cory Ann was our photographer, and she told us to look like we loved each other, so Molly grabbed onto me and squeezed me hard. This is a genuine reaction, because it happened so fast, she scared me!! It makes me smile every time I look at it 🙂
\"\"
This is a pic of us at Girl\’s State at USD the summer before our senior year. We weren\’t in the same \”city\” but we still spent a lot of time together that week. It was a long week, and I think she was the only one who kept me sane!
\"\"
Graduation day was a day to remember for all kinds of reasons, and I\’m so glad my sissy was there to celebrate with me!
\"\"
When we left for college, Molly attended South Dakota State University in Brookings, while I attended George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. It was the first time we were so far apart for such a long time, and I\’m not going to lie, it was the hardest thing about college. As much as I wanted to get out and see the world, I missed my sister. We called and texted and facetimed a bunch, and that helped!
\"\"
When I came home for Christmas Break that first year of college, it had been four months since I had seen my sister. I flew into Watertown and as soon as I walked out of the terminal, she came running at me to give me a great big hug! There were lots of happy tears this day.
\"\"
And who could forget when she came to visit me for Spring Break that year too!! I was so excited to show her around my home away from home and introduce her to my new friends. Even though the week turned out differently than planned – I ended up in the hospital when they thought I had appendicitis – I\’m glad my sister was there to be there with me 🙂
\"\"
Fast forward a few years to one of the trips I made home during the summer. I was only home for a few days, but we took a trip to the cities to attend a Twins game! It was the first time in a long time that all five of us were able to spend some quality time together 🙂
\"\"
Nearing the end of our college careers, we took a trip out to Disney World to run our first ever Half Marathon! I think we were both nervous to do it, but it was a very memorable event in a very memorable location. We should do it again sometime! (Noah can come again too! :))
\"\"
So, I wasn\’t actually here for this memory, but I have to brag about one of my sister\’s awesome accomplishments. She became the President of her Sorority one year and this is her giving her speech when she was inducted. She looks so pretty and I\’m super proud of the woman she became through this sorority 🙂
\"\"
Not too long ago, we were in the planning period for Molly\’s wedding! I\’m really glad that I was able to be there for so many milestones in preparation for her big day – especially living half a country away. This is the day she found her dress!!
\"\"
As her Maid of Honor, I also helped put her Bridal Shower together. I was in charge of putting games together and I think we had some fun celebrating the now Mrs. Thooft!
\"\"
And of course, being there by her side on her big day! The day turned out perfectly and it was so fun celebrating Molly and Tanner. I\’m so happy you two found each other. Tanner makes an excellent new brother!!
\"\"
And to prove that some things never change, we were told to strike a pose and we both did this at the exact same time. We are definitely carved from the same tree!
\"\"
When I first moved back to South Dakota last year, I spent a lot of time hanging out with my sister and Tanner. I was sad and scared of what the future would bring, and these two helped me take my mind off of it all. We went on lots of adventures and shared lots of laughs!
\"\"
Also when I first came back to South Dakota, I let my sister practice her scanning on me a few times. Caught Dr. Molly off guard here before she started a scan of my leg. She\’s going to make a very good ultra sound sonographer!!
\"\"
Molly makes the best aunty to Dobby! She even tucked him into bed one night, haha! He looks awfully confused, but he loved every second of it 🙂
\"\"
She\’ll probably kill me for this one, but I couldn\’t help myself! She\’s easily one of the funniest people I know. 🙂

So, there you have it! 26 wonderful memories with my favorite person ever. Sounds like my sister is coming home this weekend, so luckily I\’ll get to celebrate our birthday with her. She starts a new big girl job next week, so if you see her, wish her luck and a very happy birthday! Love you bunches, sissy! 🙂

Until next time! 🙂
