Hello Christmas Season!

I hope everyone had a fabulous and fun Halloween holiday! It’s fun to see all the costumes and get some sweet treats, but to me, the real fun starts the day after Halloween. Because it’s officially Christmas season! You better believe our Christmas decorations are going up this weekend, even if my Grinch of a husband thinks it’s a wee bit early. But what does he know!?

Found this sign at the Odin Craft Mill a couple of weeks ago and it felt oh so fitting! He knows I tease. 🙂

I know it’s getting colder outside, and I hate that I even saw a little bit of white stuff falling from the sky the other day, but this is honestly my favorite time of the year. Thanksgiving is right around the corner too, which means lots of family time, and a little bit of time off of work, and I don’t know, this time of year just feels kind of magical. That might sound cheesy, but that’s okay. I like cheesy.

And another favorite of mine is now that harvest is officially wrapped up for the year, Dan is going to get to spend a lot more weekends at home! We’ll be able to catch up on some more house projects and hopefully take some time to unwind a little bit. It’s been a wild year, and I’m looking forward to some down time. Maybe I’ll even get him to help me with the Christmas decorations! 😉

I’m the type of person who prefers to have the sentimental ornaments on my tree over the pretty matching ones. Even if it looks like a Christmas store exploded on our tree, I’d so much rather have a tree full of memories and keepsakes than one that looks like it belongs in a magazine.

Any time we go on a trip, I always make sure to get a Christmas ornament to remember it by. This year’s new ornament comes all the way from Belize!
And this is the other new ornament for 2025 – had to celebrate our first year of marriage!
By the end of the weekend, I hope our living room is looking even more Christmas-y than last year!

I’m going to keep it short this week – gotta get back to decorating! Maybe this is your sign to get your Christmas decorations out too!? 😉 Hope everyone has a relaxing weekend no matter how you choose to spend it.

Until next time! 🙂
