Now That the Dust has Settled…

The dust finally feels like it’s starting to settle after the wedding. Most of the thank you’s have now been sent. We have our house cleaned up and everything put away. My last name has officially been legally changed to Nelson. I’m still in a little bit of denial that it is over already, but things have been so wonderful the last couple of weeks too.

Before we got married, I remember asking all kinds of people after their wedding if they felt any different now that they were married. Most people I asked said no. There were a few that said yes, and I have to agree with those people! Yes, our day to day really hasn’t changed. We continue to go about our lives the way we did before, but the energy feels different. I don’t know how to put it into words, it just feels really good to be married to Dan. And every single time I get to refer to him as my husband instead of my boyfriend or fiancé just makes me smile like a fool.

And I don’t even care that people make fun of me for being one of those newly married couples, or saying I’m still in the honeymoon phase and it’ll wear off. I honestly hope it doesn’t!

But speaking of honeymoons! I wanted to reach out to the masses this week because Dan and I have been tossing a bunch of honeymoon ideas around the past few days, trying to decide where to go. Between our jobs, farming, and hunting, we’re pretty limited on when we can go, and right now we’re thinking sometime in March.

I want to hear all the suggestions! Where’s your favorite place to travel? What do you love about it? What do you hate about it? When’s the best time to go? We want to hear it all! We’re open to all kinds of ideas.

I can’t wait to hear them. 😊

Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend and makes the most of what’s left of summer!

Until next time! 🙂

Megan Nelson
