So Many Opportunities!
It’s been quite the work week, and I’ve got some awesome news to share! As many of you may know, I started working for NATE: The Communications Infrastructure Contractors Association back in July/August as the Member Services Coordinator. I’ve learned a TON of new things since I started and I’ve had the opportunity to meet people all over the country. It really has been an amazing journey so far.
And as of earlier this week, I’ve officially accepted a new position at NATE as the Manager of Wireless Industry Network (WIN)!! This new job will continue to challenge me as I’ll now be more involved in some of our committees and I’ll have the opportunity to travel a bit as well. I already have plans to be in Orlando in February for our trade show and DC sometime in May for our fly-in event!
I’m super, super excited to take on this new roll and see what more I can learn and discover.
With that being said, we now have two open positions at NATE: the Member Services Coordinator position I am leaving, and the Accounts Coordinator position.
I want to take a minute to tell you why you should consider applying.
First of all, you get to work with me so that’s pretty cool! 😜
But if that doesn’t entice you hopefully this will: NATE is a small office. Total, there are 12 of us who work behind the scenes to make the Association function. But what we do is HUGE and has not only a national impact, but a universal one.
We work closely with a lot of the companies who work in the tower industry. Whether it’s the big companies like Verizon and T-Mobile who provide the cell service; the companies who actually erect the towers and climb them to make the service possible; the companies who supply the materials needed to build and maintain towers, and everything in between. We work with them all!
We help bring them together and provide safety resources that are created by the industry FOR the industry. Cell service and the internet are a way of life and they’re not going anywhere anytime soon, so it’s important to keep this industry going strong, and provide them with the best safety materials to do the job safely. Because in order to make it possible, a lot of this work is done hundreds of feet in the air, and it’s definitely not for the faint of heart!
But don’t worry, climbing the towers itself is not a job requirement to work in the NATE office. 😉
Anyway, it’s just a really cool thing to be a part of and you’re definitely going to learn something new everyday. And especially in the Member Services position, you’ll get to talk to new people almost everyday as well.
And if that part makes you nervous, trust me I was nervous about it too. I’m definitely an introvert and talking to strangers scares me, but I can safely say it’s turned into my favorite part of the job. 95% of the people I’ve talked to have been the nicest, most interesting folks, and it’s been fun to learn new things from them. And I can’t wait to meet all the people I’ve met virtually in person soon!
So hopefully I’ve convinced you to at least check out the job descriptions which I’ll list below:
If you have questions, please reach out to me and I’ll get you in touch with the right people.
And if you need a little more convincing or are just genuinely curious, check out the documentary: Vertical Freedom. It’ll give you an inside view of the kind of work our industry is involved in, and will hopefully inspire you to want to become a part of it!
So go apply!!! We’ll be happy to have you join us!
Until next time! 🙂
