Get to Know the Author

I was brainstorming what to blog about this week and for the life of me couldn’t come up with a good topic to write about. I was scrolling through old blogs for some inspiration and about three years ago I wrote a short blog with five fun facts about me – for the same reason: I couldn’t think of anything better to write about! So, lucky you!! You get to learn a little bit more about me again today. 😊

Here’s FIFTEEN fun facts you may or may not know about me:

1. I have a twin sister. Most of you should know this by now, but hey it’s still a pretty neat fact. My sister is the coolest human alive so obviously I’m gonna take all the opportunities to brag about her!

2. A goal of mine is to go to all 50 states, and I’m almost halfway there! So far, I’ve checked 23 states off the list. Swimming in college definitely helped me get to a lot of them!

3. My favorite show is The Office. It’s kind of my comfort show and I like having it on in the background when I’m cooking or cleaning. Just ask Dan! He’ll tell you I’ve got it memorized by now. 🤪

4. I’m allergic to ibuprofen. Well, it’s more of a sensitivity than an allergy I suppose. It makes my nose bleed! ☹️

5. The first concert I ever went to was to see Aerosmith. The most recent was to see Morgan Wallen. Both were pretty amazing.

 

6. The weirdest food I’ve ever eaten was horse – and no it wasn’t good! I don’t recommend.

7. My favorite ice cream flavor is cookies and cream. Really anything with Oreos in it is gonna be pretty tasty.

8. I have pretty wonky joints. Both of my elbows and both of my knees hyper extend. When I stand up straight I look like an ostrich 😂

 

9. Growing up, I always wanted to be a vet. But it only took one time to shadow one to determine it wasn’t the career choice for me! Blood and guts are NOT my thing.

10. Never used to like running, but in the last three years I\’ve really come to enjoy it. I’ve run 6 half marathons and 2 full marathons. And I’m actually excited to do more!

And I have the cutest cheerleader!

11. One of the top items on my bucket list is to go to Switzerland to see the Swiss Alps. I think I could sit and stare at those mountains all day.

12. One of my biggest pet peeves is when people don’t use their turn signals. They’re there for a reason, people!!!

13. My favorite movie is Pride and Prejudice. I’m a sucker for a good romance movie.

14. I never learned how to whistle. I wish I could haha

15. And finally, I was born and raised in Watertown, SD, and even though I swore I’d never ever come back, here I am! And I actually love it! Who knew?

I’m sure most people already knew most of these things about me, but if you didn’t, you learned something new today!
