A YEAR of Connor!

My adorable little nephew turns ONE this weekend!! On July 17th, we’ll have loved this cutie for an entire year already – hard to believe it! And it’s so crazy how far he’s come in such a short amount of time.

I remember exactly what I was doing when my sister said she was at the hospital being induced to have her baby. I was at the farm in MN, and I had to run a 14 mile run by myself that morning. The entire time I was running, I was hoping I’d get a call or a text saying she had the baby! But it wasn’t until later in the day, when Dan and I were out checking on some food plots that I finally got the news!!!

First pic they sent me of Connor! Only a few minutes old. I remember being in the food plot and freaking out. Dan didn’t understand what was wrong with me haha
Dan and I made a detour on the way home from the farm so we could meet Connor. He’s only three days old here. Hard to remember him being that small! I was so excited to meet him, but also nervous I’d break him. I’m not sure if I’ve ever held a baby this fresh before!
Of course, I went back a few days later to hang out with my new little buddy. Was able to watch him while Molly and Tanner could get a few other things done around the house. He’s always been such a good little snuggler!
From very early on, Connor has always been a very content baby. He was sleeping for most of the day, and I think he was even sleeping through the night by the time he was 6 weeks old already. Sleep is life!
One of the first times Connor came to Grandpa and Grandma Reiffenberger’s house. We had just gone for a walk and the little dude was sweatin up a storm – but still content!
He’s about a month old here, and while still a small dude, you can already see how much he’s grown over just a few weeks. And much more alert!
We’re just hanging out watching the Vikings game. He’ll be a fan – whether he wants to or not! – in the Reiffenberger household haha
I was honestly surprised at how much I loved this boy from the get go, and he’s not even MY kid! But I love everything about him and watching him grow alongside his parents. It makes me excited to have kids of my own someday.
He looked so handsome on his Baptism day! And I think this outfit was the same one my brother wore when he got Baptized, which is pretty cool!
As the months went by, you could definitely see his personality start to come out. He is ALWAYS smiling and just generally a happy, happy boy. I was just sitting here watching TV and then I look down and he’s got this big ol’ grin on his face!
Do I even need to say how good my man looks with a baby!? 😉
At Christmas, we were sitting at the table playing a game and I could feel Connor chewing on my finger, but then my sister starts laughing and says she needs to take a picture of his face. He meant BUSINESS!
This boy, I tell you what. He is going to be the KING of selfies. He was throwing a bit of a tantrum minutes before this photo, and as soon as I took the camera out, it was instant smiles. He’s too funny!
He just LOVES hamming it up for the camera!
My sister and I have been facetiming a lot so I can see Connor more often and it absolutely makes my day. He’s an expert peek a boo player at this point, and even on the other end of the phone he thinks it’s hilarious!
The most recent photo I have of Connor, was just a few weeks ago when I was down helping with some house work. Look how big he is compared to the first photo!!
AND he’s standing!! Not on his own yet, but it’s only a matter of time. Ugh. Time can slow down.
Just one more picture, I promise! My sister sent me this a few days ago and I can’t get over how cute it is. He looks so grown up!!

We’ve created lots of memories over the last year, and I can’t wait to continue watching him grow and learn new things. Auntie Megan loves you so, so much big guy!! Can’t wait to celebrate your birthday and spoil you this weekend!!

Until next time! 🙂
