Happy Thanksgiving Weekend!
Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving surrounded by friends, family, fun, and FOOD! I had a great day surrounded by most of my mom’s side of the family, and of course we had to start the day with a Turkey Day 5k cuz you KNOW we are that kind of family!
Thanksgiving morning was one of the coldest days we’ve had so far this season, it was only 10 degrees come race time, with a wind chill of -4. But that didn’t stop many of us from getting out there and doing what we love! While also making room for all that food we would eat later. 😉 A lot of WARC people participated and it was a great time spent with all of them.
This group really has become like a second family to me. I had my swimming family out in VA – whom I miss terribly!! – and never did I think I’d become a runner, but these folks make it so enjoyable. We are out there venting, joking, and solving the world’s problems. I honestly don’t know what I’d do without them. And believe it or not, but I actually look forward to running at 5:15 in the morning because I know I get to see my friends!

Like I said earlier, I got to spend Thanksgiving day with my mom’s side of the family, and got to see some family I hadn’t seen a while which was nice. It was weird though because neither of my siblings were able to be there. Between work and weddings, the two had too much going on to make it to Watertown. But I do want to say that I’m super blessed to have them in my life. I love my siblings to death and both of them have some wonderful significant others as well. As well as my handsome little nephew! Wish I would have been able to see them this weekend, but hoping I can soon!

A couple other things I’m thankful for this year: I’m thankful I was finally able to achieve my dream of publishing my first book. I’m loving all the feedback I’m getting from those who have read it, and I’m pretty stoked that so many people keep asking me when the next one is coming out. I’m THIS close to being done with the first draft, so it’s coming along, but it’ll be a while yet. But I do have to say that I’m awfully proud of this one. I think y’all are going to love it!

I’m also so thankful to still be working at LATC. Many of you don’t know, but I’ve now been there for almost a year and a half, which is the longest I’ve held a job since graduating college. It’s such a good feeling! I love the people I work with, I love that I get paid to have fun, and I love that I feel like a part of the LATC family. It’s a wonderful place to work, and I’m thankful I have the opportunity to work there.

And like I said last week, I’m so, so thankful for my two men, Dan and Dobby. And Carter!!! My THREE men! These boys make me feel loved every day and I’d never trade them for anything.

These are just a couple of things I’m thankful for this year. I’m loving life and I have SO much to be thankful for every year. Looking forward to what 2022 will have in store. Hope everyone had a great holiday!
Until next time! 🙂
