Happy Easter 2021!

Happy Easter everyone! Hopefully everyone’s holiday can be a little more normal – at least compared to last year. We are still opting to attend Easter Mass online, but we are able to get together as a family and still enjoy each other’s company. My sister and Tanner are here for the weekend to hang out, and Dan joined us for dinner last night before he took off for Minnesota. Wish I could hang out with him and his family for Easter as well, but it’s hard to pass up quality time with my sissy!!

Since I am running out of contract days for work, I’m starting to take a little more time off so I can make sure I can work on the days I need to be there. So, my long weekend started Thursday afternoon! I went home and napped, and then had dinner and a lazy evening with Dan. Those are my favorite times! We can put a movie on TV, hang out, and not have to worry about getting up early the next morning. Except I DID get up early Friday morning even though I didn’t have to work, because I am crazy. Decided to get my long run for the weekend in on Friday morning with Jen West – we ran 10 miles in that awful wind! My legs were pooped by the end of the run, but overall, it felt good. 🙂

Today, I’m recovering and letting my legs rest. My sister, my dad, and I took the doggies for a long walk, and we could definitely feel those temps rising as we went! It is going to be an absolutely BEAUTIFUL weekend, so take advantage of it! I plan to spend as much time outside as I can today. I’m hanging out at the rents, and they are planning to get the deck chairs out so we can hang out outside. Doesn’t matter if you’re moving, or just hanging out. Get out and enjoy it! It’s April in South Dakota, you know it could still change for the worse, so take advantage of it while you can.

Out walking with my sissy, my dad, and the pups! Dobby didn’t want to hold still haha

Overall, I’m looking forward to a long weekend of relaxing and hanging out with the fam. I have no plans and no where to be, so I plan on taking it as it comes. I hope everyone reading this can enjoy a relaxing Easter weekend with their loved ones, and celebrate because He is risen!

I’ll keep it short and sweet this week, hoping to have some more book news for y’all next weekend!

Until next time! 🙂
