Giving Thanks for 2024
Believe it or not, it’s already Thanksgiving time and that means it’s time for my annual “what am I thankful for this year” post. And boy, what a year it has been!
I have always been incredibly thankful for family and this year, it doubled in size – even more to be thankful for! I love how close we are and that we get along so well. And I love how much my parents and siblings have welcomed Dan as an official member of the family.
Next, I am thankful for all the wonderful friends I have. From WARC, to work, to old and new and everything in between.
I’m also very thankful for my job at NATE. I got to travel a few more times this year and I’m learning new things every day. Also, as witnessed at a site visit a few weeks ago, I am VERY thankful I represent the brave men and women who climb towers to give us the power to communicate with people all over the world – and am NOT one of them climbing myself. I have a lot of respect for these individuals as I know without a doubt I am not brave enough to do this important work.
It wouldn’t be a thankful post without a couple pics of my fur baby, now would it!?
And last but certainly not least, I am so, so thankful for Dan himself. Married life has been nothing short of wonderful and I love making plans for our future together. He’s my best friend, and I honestly don’t know how I would survive without him. And I mean that almost literally because, well just ask him. I am not the most coordinated person alive! He’s probably literally saved my life multiple times at this point haha. So, thank you, Dan for being an all-around awesome human.
There are so many more things I am thankful for: food to eat, a home to live in, clothes on my back, etc. etc. I am incredibly blessed with the life I live, and I try not to take that for granted. This last year has given me so many more reason to be thankful, and I can’t wait to see what the next year has in store.
I hope you all take some time to think about all the things you have to be thankful for this year, and I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Until next time! π
