Giving Thanks for 2024

Believe it or not, it’s already Thanksgiving time and that means it’s time for my annual “what am I thankful for this year” post. And boy, what a year it has been!

I have always been incredibly thankful for family and this year, it doubled in size – even more to be thankful for! I love how close we are and that we get along so well. And I love how much my parents and siblings have welcomed Dan as an official member of the family.

The fam just keeps on growing!
Not only did my family welcome Dan with open arms, but Dan’s family did the same to me. Blessed to have some pretty special in-laws!
AND Nick and Hannah got married this year as well, so I officially have another sister too! Like I said, it was a big year for the Reiffenbergers. πŸ™‚

Next, I am thankful for all the wonderful friends I have. From WARC, to work, to old and new and everything in between.

Dan and I are both blessed to have so many wonderful people in our lives!
I am also incredibly blessed my college friends made the half-country long road trip to come celebrate our wedding with us! I loved catching up with them and can’t wait to do it again soon. The shots in this pic were my “something blue” they brought me haha!
And of course my WARC fam! I think I’d go crazy if I didn’t get to see these lovely humans every week.
We definitely know how to make exercising look fun! πŸ˜‰

I’m also very thankful for my job at NATE. I got to travel a few more times this year and I’m learning new things every day. Also, as witnessed at a site visit a few weeks ago, I am VERY thankful I represent the brave men and women who climb towers to give us the power to communicate with people all over the world – and am NOT one of them climbing myself. I have a lot of respect for these individuals as I know without a doubt I am not brave enough to do this important work.

It wouldn’t be a thankful post without a couple pics of my fur baby, now would it!?

I mean, seriously, how can you not love that face.
Long story short, I had to stay at my parent’s for a few days (water was off at home) and this little booger wasn’t shy about making himself at home lol

And last but certainly not least, I am so, so thankful for Dan himself. Married life has been nothing short of wonderful and I love making plans for our future together. He’s my best friend, and I honestly don’t know how I would survive without him. And I mean that almost literally because, well just ask him. I am not the most coordinated person alive! He’s probably literally saved my life multiple times at this point haha. So, thank you, Dan for being an all-around awesome human.

Doesn’t hurt that he’s pretty easy on the eyes, too. πŸ˜‰

There are so many more things I am thankful for: food to eat, a home to live in, clothes on my back, etc. etc. I am incredibly blessed with the life I live, and I try not to take that for granted. This last year has given me so many more reason to be thankful, and I can’t wait to see what the next year has in store.

I hope you all take some time to think about all the things you have to be thankful for this year, and I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Until next time! πŸ™‚
