You know what time it is?? It’s back to school time! Faculty at Lake Area Tech came back this week which means the first day of classes are right around the corner. We had in service on Wednesday, last day of orientation on Friday, kick off day on Tuesday, and then BAM! School starts on Wednesday. Crazy how time flies isn’t it? We are already halfway through August!

Anyway, with school starting, obviously means I’ll be getting much busier now. I was telling a co worker the other day, it’s gone from 0 to 100 just like that! This week was crazy busy, I barely had time to sit down. But if I can get through the next two-three weeks with no problems, it’ll be smooth sailing from there.

I was telling Dan the other day that my schedule for this fall semester is packed to the brim. Not only do I have a ton of fun activities planned, but I’m also running or helping to run a bunch of different clubs and organizations. AND new this year: I’m teaching a class! Besides swimming lessons, I’ve never taught before, so not only is it going to be something new, but I’m also kinda nervous haha. But I’ve tried to live by the mantra: do something every day that scares you. So that’s what I’m doing!

I’m ready to be busy again and get to know a bunch of new students. It’ll be a fun school year, especially now that *knock on wood* things will be pretty much back to normal.

I’m also looking for 1-2 work study students to help me with activities, so if anyone knows any LATC students who want to get PAID to do fun stuff, then send them my way!!

Can’t wait for an exciting school year!!

ALSO: Want to add a little bit of exciting news with my other “job.” I’ve been accepted into the State Fair in Huron to sell my books on Sunday, September 5th! I’ll be set up from 10-4, and I’ll have lots of books available. So if you haven’t had a chance to purchase your copy yet, and you’ll be in the area, please come see me!
