Swimming Through Life

I’m an Auntie!

As many of you probably know, my sister and brother-in-law Tanner, have been expecting an additional member of their family since last December, and they officially welcomed their little boy into the world last Saturday, July 17th. I’m officially an auntie!! His name is Connor Daniel Thooft, he’s 7 pounds, 15 ounces, and about 21 inches long. He’s a total cutie and I could not be more proud of my sister!

It still seems crazy to think we are even old enough to have kids of our own. I feel like it wasn’t that long ago that we were graduating from high school, and now she’s a mom! And little Connor is so precious. I went to see him on Thursday, and he just snuggled into anyone who was holding him and fell right asleep. Such a good little baby. He definitely lets you know when he’s hungry or has a full diaper, but otherwise, he’s a content little man.

I’m heading back to Minnesota this weekend to hang out with him some more and help Molly and Tanner any way I can. I already changed a few poopy diapers on Thursday, so I’m BASICALLY an expert now. πŸ˜› I’m so excited for them and all I want to do this week is share some pics of the little guy.

Tried to swaddle him. Didn’t turn out too bad for not having a clue what I was doing!
Got nice and comfy cuddled in my arms. πŸ™‚
Conked out pretty hard after his meal! Was even snoring a bit.
Was getting a little cranky, so had to bounce him around for a little bit. Turned out his diaper was full haha
Grandpa took him for a little walk around the yard to get some fresh air! Slept through the whole thing.
Shortly after he was born. Look at those eyes!

I cannot wait to get back down there and get some more baby snuggles and let Molly and Tanner take a nap or ten!

I also have some other exciting news to share: I’ll be at the library in Clark next week from 12:30pm-5pm for a local author event. I’ll have plenty of books to share, so if you were unable to make it out to my book signing this week, feel free to come out to Clark next week! I’ll share more details on how each event went then. πŸ™‚

Until next time! πŸ™‚
