Spring Fever!
I can safely say the thing I was dreading the most about coming back from Florida was coming back to the cold. I jokingly told a few people I would try to bring the warmth back with me when I returned, and to my pleasant surprise, I kind of did! It’s been above freezing all week and I am loving it! The sun has been shining, the snow is melting, and I am not freezing my face off every time I step outside. I couldn’t ask for more.
I got off work two hours early on Friday because I had worked over 40 hours and decided I was ready to be done for the week. I spent my extra free time taking my puppy for a nice long walk and spending some time outside. It was so nice to not have to dress in a million layers, and I even got a little hot in my winter coat. Dobby loves going for walks no matter what the weather is like, but it definitely makes it much more enjoyable when I’m not freezing my booty off.
Now, I’m not a super big of fan of hot, hot weather, but I am ready for this stupid snow to melt and get some nicer temps. It’ll be nice to take the dog for a walk and not have to trudge through two feet of snow, or worry about taking a spill on the ice, and it will be MUCH better to get out and go for runs for the same reasons. I’ve taken way too many falls this winter, and I’m trying to make it to summer in one piece!
Since I am now living at the lake, I’m also really excited for warmer temps so I can take advantage of being so close to the water. I have yet to see how good of a swimmer Dobby is, but I have a pretty good feeling he’s going to have just as much fun as I will.
I’ve got a bad case of spring fever going on, and all I want to do is spend some time outside. I love this time of year and I’m ready to soak it up while it lasts. The weather this weekend is going to be super beautiful, so I hope you all make some time to get out and enjoy it! You know how our South Dakota springs go: we aren’t done getting snow yet, I can almost guarantee it. So get outside and enjoy the nice weather now while you can!
Until next time! 🙂
