It’s a Bad Day, Not a Bad Life

Everybody has bad days. Days where nothing seems to go right no matter how hard you try. Sometimes people even have several bad days in a row, making for one heck of a long week. That was how my week went. Both my work life and personal life were an absolute mess, and I’m more than ready for the weekend and a reset.

During times like this, it can be difficult to think positively and look on the brighter side of things. I remember about halfway through this week I was so frustrated, I was starting to wonder why I was even bothering. Nothing was going right.

For example: at work, there was some miscommunication about one meeting and the blame was ultimately placed on me. I got a talking to about stepping it up and doing a better job within my position. It was a little frustrating because it really wasn’t that big of a deal, but I took it in stride and said I would try harder next time. I want to say it was just a bad week for everyone, because my other boss even admitted it was a little blown out of proportion.

Like I said. Everyone has bad weeks. I didn’t make a huge deal over it, and I won’t make the same mistake again. Done and done.

On Thursday, I stayed home from work because I was sick AGAIN. Feeling poopy has been a constant thing for almost a month now, and I finally got my stubborn butt to a doctor. They figured out what part of the problem was and set me up on some antibiotics for the time being. I’ll be seeing another doctor when I go home in a few weeks, and will hopefully soon be on my way to not feeling icky anymore.

It’s been a long week for Nate too, as he was constantly getting too much work thrown on his plate. This resulted in bad moods for both of us. We were both cranky and it was hard for either of us to be around each other for very long. This makes it hard to come home and try to relax after an already long day.

I think we are both in need of a restful weekend where we have nothing to do, and reset ourselves to have a better week next week.

Bad days happen. Bad weeks happen. It’s important to remember that it happens to everyone and it’s only a bad day, not a bad life. It will get better soon.

I hope everyone has a relaxing weekend, and whether you had a good week or a bad week, reset yourself for another long week ahead.

Here’s a lovely picture of my fur baby, Zeus, just because he makes me happy, and after this week, I need all the happy I can get!

Oh, and only 1 week, 4 days, 1 hour, 8 minutes, and 46 seconds until I go home to South Dakota! 🙂 🙂

Until next time!
